It’s the season to be grateful, and if you live in or around Sarasota, that in itself is a blessing. Beautiful beaches, vibrant arts and culture, wonderful restaurants, the golf courses, I could go on and on. Family is always something I’m very grateful for – my three boys (now young men) have brought more joy to my life than I could express.
And now, Chase, my youngest son, has recently joined me in his own pursuit of a real estate career. Perhaps some of you have already met him; I’ve put him right to work. Chase grew up watching family dinners and functions interrupted with phone calls more times than not – he’s got a leg up on a true understanding of the dedication it takes to achieve success. I’m not only proud of him, but excited to see him excel in my own chosen profession.
I’m grateful for every client who has put their trust in me. This Thanksgiving, I am reminded of this quote: “If a fellow isn’t thankful for what he’s got, he isn’t likely to be thankful for what he’s going to get.” In these challenging times of unrest and suffering, Thanksgiving becomes an even more poignant time to reflect on our blessings.

Selby Gardens Plans January Grand Opening
Selby Botanical Gardens will unveil the first phase of its new look on January 11 to the general public. The grand opening will mark the official debut of the Morganroth Family Living Energy Access Facility. Selby officials call it the LEAF. It includes the new Green Orchid, a garden-to-table restaurant operated by Michaels on East on the ground floor. The LEAF also features a new gift shop, vertical gardens on the outside walls and a 50,000 sq. ft. solar array that will allow Selby to produce more energy than it uses and make it the first net-positive-energy botanical garden complex in the world. Also on top of the structure will be an edible garden that will be planned, planted and maintained by Operation EcoVets. January 11 will also mark the official debut of the Jean Goldstein Welcome Center, the new visitor center where guests will buy tickets.

“Just a specific note to you to convey our sincere appreciation and privilege of working with you through the listing and sale of our Beachplace property, on Longboat Key. We certainly experienced a myriad of challenges throughout our collaborative efforts but the continual expert dialogues, professional acumen, and shared strategies cannot be understated in terms of the value you provided to us at every juncture.
