Downtown Sarasota dining is vibrant, with something for most people. Here are some of the locations I recommend as a Downtown Sarasota real estate agent.

Duval’s

4.6 Star Rating

$$ Seafood restaurant

Contemporary and modern, with lots of food options (the seafood is excellent), Duval’s is an outstanding location for meeting friends or a family meal. There’s a happy hour, too.

Owen’s Fish Camp

4.6 Star Rating

$$ Seafood restaurant

Owen’s Fish Camp is another tried-and-true location right on Burns Court. It has more of a Southern country-style menu. It’s in a cottage built in the 1920s, which makes it super artisanal and beautiful. Definitely come here when you want a location that will keep you cool.

Marina Jack

4.4 Star Rating

$$ Waterfront restaurant

If you want a meal with a view, check out Marina Jack. The outdoor raw bar patio is an excellent location right on Marina Plaza. I also like the more elegant upstairs dining room. There’s a piano bar here, too.

University Town Center Mall

The Mall at University Town Center is another excellent choice. There are about 20 restaurants here, most of which are smaller, along with about 100 stores. You’ll find locations like Boss and Michael Kors here, as well as many other high-end shopping mall retailers.

Westfield Southgate Mall

With about 49 specialty stores, including locations like Macy’s and Dillard’s, this location is a fantastic place for shopping. It’s located on S. Tamiami Trail and is one of the more long-standing shopping destinations in the area.
