Let’s all start thinking like Warren Buffett. The bright outlook for our local real estate market lies in the fundamentals. – the beautiful beaches will always be treasured, the golf courses and golden sunsets will always be desirable, and the bounty of arts and culture will always be valued.
 
It’s a confusing time for many as we continue to reshape the way our world is interconnected, from how we conduct business to how we live our lives. On my side of the desk, I am feeling positive and as the month progresses already seeing an increase in activity. Properties are selling with the market still favoring residences that have been updated and/or priced right – nothing has changed on that front. The pent up demand is growing if my emails and phone calls are any indication.
 
The real estate market is not at the center of this economic slowdown. Rather, it could be just what helps pull us out of the downturn.

News Briefs

While many activities have been throttled back, some are going on as they should. Members of the Mote Conservation and Research Program found the first sea turtle nest early this week. Mote says the nest was created by a loggerhead sea turtle. Sarasota County is the most dense area of loggerhead nesting. Green sea turtles nest on area beaches, as well. Time to turn off the lights.
 
 
Our beautiful beaches may be open for essential activities, but you can still take comfort in a Sarasota sunset from your home, broadcast live Tuesday and Friday evenings. Each livestream starts 10 to 15 minutes before sunset and will last for those golden minutes for five to 10 minutes after.
 
Almost like being there in person, except for the sand in between your toes.
 
While local restaurants are closed for in house dining, many are offering expanded takeout, delivery or curbside options including grocery pickup. To help make folks aware of these myriad options, here is a link of all currently open for business restaurants in our area. Enjoy!
